The Equity & Opportunity Scholarship Act, HF 386, passed the Minnesota House Education Finance Committee today and headed to the House Taxes Committee. This bill was authored by Rep. Ron Kresha and students from St. Agnes School came out to support the hearing.

Hearing in the Minnesota Senate Taxes Committee
After moving out of the Senate Education Finance Committee the previous week, MN Harvest Initiative's Reynolds-Anthony Harris, Ascension School principal Benito Matias and Christo Rey High School president Jeb Myers gave strong testimony in the Minnesota Senate Taxes Committee.

Minnesota Senate and Minnesota House Omnibus Tax Bills were both passed out of their chambers including Opportunity Scholarships
In a positive move for students and parents -- the Minnesota Senate passed its Tax Bill and the Minnesota House passed its Tax Bill. Both bills included Opportunity Scholarships which will help remove barriers that prevent children from being able to attend schools that meet their needs.
